Kingdom Days Sim Date Game

Get Your Fairy Tale Ending in Kingdom Days Sim Date

It's time to channel your inner princess in Kingdom Days Sim Date. This dating sim is another masterpiece by deviant ARTist Pacthesis, known for her line of thematic otome games. As it is with other titles in the series, your goal is to form a relationship with one of the game's eligible bachelors within 30 days. This is accomplished by engaging in conversation and learning more about them, spending time with them on dates as well as unlocking the occasional coffin.

You begin the game by giving your character a name and distributing 15 points across three stats (Charm, Wisdom and Magic). Once that's done, a rather lengthy intro awaits to familiarize you with your character and the first of five bachelors you can have a romance with. The gist of it is that you are the long lost princess of the Lunar Kingdom. Your elf friend Lewis happens to be a servant employed by your new royal family and, as expected, you two become close over the years. After waiting so long for someone to adopt you, you thought all your worries were over until a war broke out. As Cesathis attempts to invade your home, your romance-filled adventure starts -- complete with the dashing, yet pompous king of Hepcatsis.

Once you don your fuchsia dress, you're ready to go. There are many fantasy-themed areas to explore such as a Blacksmith, The Witch's Cottage, a mysterious Forest and a Windmill. Each of these lead you to activities to do, characters to talk to or items to give as gifts to potential love interests. For instance, visiting the Blacksmith allows you to talk to Daniel. Want to know more about the game? Heading to The Church will give you the chance to talk to Humpty Dump- wait, we mean Mr. Toko the priest. Mr. Toko will give you game hints and maybe even help you unlock something special later on. Finally, your Home is where you sleep to replenish your HP.

Speaking of HP, you must keep in mind that every action you take costs HP. There's no need to take down notes though as the game displays this quite clearly together with the type of action. Not every move you make is created equal as some costs more than the others. For example, talking to characters will deduct 10 points from your HP while going on dates with them costs a whopping 50 points.

Sometimes, even girls have to spend a little for their guy. In Kingdom Days Sim Date, shops sell gift items which may be given to potential love interests. Choosing the right gift may reward you with something sweet at the end of a date and bring you one step closer to your happy, fairy tale ending.

With witty dialogue and thematic jokes to boot, Kingdom Days Sim Date isn't just your ordinary otome game. We love how the protagonist ditches being a helpless princess and shows some sass by speaking her mind. Of course, it's up to you whether or not you'll be trying out the reply options but in general, the text is refreshingly amusing.

In terms of graphics, Kingdom Days Sim Date gets high marks. While there are still some proportions that need polish, the visuals have vastly improved since Anime Sim Date. We did enjoy the character design this time around, especially with jokes that poke fun at their unique traits.

Overall, we can say that Kingdom Days Sim Date is one of Pacthesis' best works. Though it lacks the bells and whistles that come with high budget otome games, it's hard to beat the game's candid humor. Considering its lighthearted take on the fairytale theme, we found the storyline, characters and game design quite refreshing. It also helps that the mouse-based mechanics are easy to grasp even for new dating sim players.

If the idea of playing a dating simulation even remotely appeals to you, we recommend giving Kingdom Days Sim Date a try along with other popular simulations such as.
